About Ainiketan
Ainiketan — आईनिकेतन — means "abode of AI". Named after Rabindranath Tagore's Shantiniketan, which made education feel natural, free, and rooted in curiosity.
The mission
Build a research culture around AI in small-town India. Make it possible for a Class 10 student in a tier-3 city to read the same papers that researchers at IIT and Google read — and actually understand them.
Why this exists
AI education in India is fragmented. The best resources are in English, behind paywalls, or assume a PhD. The best explanations are scattered across Reddit threads, YouTube comments, and Twitter. There is no single place where a motivated student can go from "what is a neural network?" to "I understand how GPT-4 works" — for free, in plain language, with the math explained.
Ainiketan is that place.
What's here
24 landmark AI research papers, each explained in 9 sections from context to code. 19 math tutorials covering the calculus, linear algebra, probability, and information theory you actually need. A dictionary of 170+ AI terms. Five learning paths. And a weekly feed of the best AI news, curated for students in India.
Everything is free. No login. No ads. No paywall. That's not a marketing line — it's a design constraint that shapes every decision.
